Description
Deuterocohnia schrieteri is a similar looking species to the very widespread and quite variable Deuterocohnia longipetala. The distinguishing feature is that the first bloom on a new inflorescence will already have branches. Deuterocohnia longipetala will always bloom with a simple (technical term for not branching) inflorescence and only on subsequent blooming/re-blooming flushes will any branches form.
This form of Deuterocohnia schrieteri usually produces pups on stolons. usually not long, ‘running’ stolons, but just enough to get the pups far enough away to get some light while still giving the look of a dense clump.
For sale will be offsets.
